The Peterson Acquisitions Story

Long before Chad Peterson became an author, acquisition advisor, business broker, or educator, he unknowingly became an entrepreneur. As a teenager, Chad built his first company. It wasn’t glamorous. It wasn’t the type of business that people brag about at cocktail parties. It wasn’t the next technology startup or a venture-backed success story. It was simply a business that solved a problem and generated income.

Then something happened that would forever shape Chad’s understanding of wealth and entrepreneurship.

By the age of eighteen, a gentleman approached Chad and purchased that business. While the transaction itself may not have seemed significant at the time, the lesson it taught would become the foundation for everything Chad would build in the years ahead. For the first time, he experienced a liquidity event. He realized that there was a substantial difference between earning a paycheck and owning an asset.

Building Through Experience

This realization changed the trajectory of Chad’s life.

Over the next several decades, Chad built, acquired, operated, and sold multiple businesses. Through those experiences, he gained firsthand knowledge of what it takes to create value, grow companies, navigate challenges, manage risk, and ultimately transition ownership.

More importantly, he learned that business ownership is not simply about generating income. It is about creating assets that can provide opportunities far beyond a paycheck.
